Launched by Brazilian shipyard MCP Yachts in September 2014, MCP 106 second hull is due for delivery later this year.
The MCP 106 LE yacht has an overall length of 32.31 metres and she is made of aluminium, so to keep up with modern performance as well as maintain low power consumption. The in-house team at MCP Yachts is responsible of both her design and engineering, in which a three deck layout was planned.
Ambient natural lighting while cruising was one of the main focuses during the design process. The entire main deck is covered in panoramic windows with a balcony glass opening in the main hall. Other key considerations in the design included space and comfort. The yacht accommodates 11 guests in a total of five suites, and a crew of six.
The owner’s suite lays on the entire main deck, benefitting from panoramic windows and vast interior volume, while the other four suites are located in the lower deck.
A combination of two CAT C32 Acerts engines rated at 1,825 bhp each powers the MCP 106 LE yacht, which results into a maximum speed of 26 knots and a cruising speed of 20 knots.
MCP Yachts is one of the leaders in the yachting industry in South America, with their 35 years of experience and innovation in aluminium yacht building and in naval architecture. The shipyard began building yachts in the early 80s and has completed over 250 yacht designs to date.
