After recently unveiling a new interceptor model with a rounded blade shape that further expands the family of Zipwake trim control systems, Saim Marine adds the Swedish manufacturer’s latest addition to its offering.
Along comes Zipwake PRO, an upgrade for all systems in the range: 5 times more responsive to controls and incredibly accurate, it ensures optimal boat trim. For boats from 20 to 100 feet, for all models in the line, for new installations and for upgrades of Zipwake models already installed on board.
Technical details
Instead of using traditional flaps/trim tabs (hull extensions perpendicular to the transom), dynamic trim control systems like Zipwake employ electrically activated “blades” that protrude downward, parallel to the hull transom, to effectively attenuate boat roll while underway, correct pitching, minimize wave resistance, and also save fuel.
Zipwake PRO is an “enhanced” trim control system, a complete expression of all the Swedish manufacturer’s advanced technology. Retaining the now well-known main features, Zipwake PRO has 5 times more responsiveness to controls and greater precision, offering superior performance for boat stability systems. Its greater speed reaction to changing sea conditions and load distribution on board ensures more comfortable sailing and higher performance.

The increased speed of action in responding to controls and the resulting greater dynamic pitch control allow the boat’s trim to be adjusted more quickly and maintain the ideal pitch angle in all sea conditions, while the greater and more precise roll control allows for greater stability and maneuverability.
