Apreamare returns to the large yacht segment with the new Maestro 88, which made its debut at the last Genoa Boat Show. This custom-built yacht, with its overall length of 27.10 m and homologation length of 23.97 m, straddles the line between a boat and a yacht; it takes advantage of the bureaucratic benefits of smaller vessels while offering the volume and space typical of larger yachts.
Relaunch of the Range
The Maestro 88 is the yard’s flagship and marks the relaunch of the range of the same name that had been on standby for a few years. The last launch was in 2020 with a Maestro 56, and the last model presented was the Maestro 66 in 2011. In recent years Apreamare has in fact focused on its Gozzo line, its historic product.
This new phase of growth and momentum also includes the launch of the Apreamare Refit division and the expansion of its international yacht market.

Custom-Built Yacht
The new Maestro 88 was built for an Italian owner and repeated client of Apreamare, who actively participated in the design of this custom-built yacht. He wanted a larger boat with which he could also go on long cruises in great comfort. His initial idea was a 24-m vessel but, after evaluations, the shipyard and the owner decided on a 27-m boat.
The project therefore started from a blank sheet of paper. Marco Casali of Too Design, responsible for the exterior and interior design, and Umberto Tagliavini of Marine Design, who designed a semi-planing variable-geometry hull with support skids, made several proposals that were shared with and accepted by the client.

Measurements and Speed
Hence began the construction of this 27.10 m yacht: 7 m wide, with a draught of 1.80 m and a full load displacement of 90 tonnes. Powered by two 2,000 hp MAN engines, she can reach a top speed of 28 knots, with a range of 1,000 nautical miles at a speed of 10 knots and a cruising speed of 22 knots.
The standard version mounts a quieter motorization, with two 1600-hp MAN engines.
Exterior Design
The semi-planing hull immediately catches the eye compared to the previous Maestro line, which had a planing hull instead. Outdoor spaces are generous, including a spacious cockpit, beach club, forward lounge and a flybridge with T-Top fitted with solar panels to power onboard systems.
There is also a large aft garage that can accommodate a 4 m long tender and water toys.
Interior Design
As far as the interior layout is concerned, hull #1 of the Maestro 88 features 4 cabins, 4 bathrooms, a studio and a relaxation area with a piano. The owner opted for a modern decor with a typically marine leitmotif. This is evident in details such as the white slatted ceiling, the extensive use of teak, as well as the soft shapes and colors.
Alternative layouts can have up to 5 guest cabins and 2 crew cabins for a total of 4 crew members. Materials, finishes, fabrics, and colors are fully customizable to suit each owner’s preferences.

New Division
Since last September, the Neapolitan shipyard has opened its new Apreamare Refit division, dedicated exclusively to Apreamare boats.
As Cataldo Aprea, Apreamare’s President, explains: “It was born from a market request, and testifies to the prestige of our boats sailing the world’s seas”.
The entire Apreamare fleet counts some 2,000 boats. The shed dedicated to yacht refit is over 3,000 sq.m (it is located inside the main production site in Torre Annunziata) and can accommodate up to 5 boats at the same time; the range of services offered includes restoration and modernisation work, from teak deck replacement and painting, to changing the upholstery and indoor/outdoor covers and upgrading the navigation systems and on-board systems.

A Dealer Network That Continues to Grow
Apreamare’s dealer network continues to grow, with partnerships in the USA with Apreamare California, in the Middle East with Terra Limited, in Turkey with Blc Yachts, and in Cyprus with Pedalion Yachting.
This in addition to the already established relationships with dealers in Spain, Netherland, France, Montenegro, Corsica, Japan and Italy.
The Apreamare Gozzo line
The Gozzo line is Apreamare’s signature product. It now comes in 3 models that are manufactured in a semi-serial process; it is possible to customise each unit in terms of colour, decor, wood choices and minor layout modifications.

- The yard’s best seller and the first model in the line is the Gozzo 35, presented in 2021.
- Alongside the classic inboard model, two years later saw the launch of the Gozzo 35 Speedster, an outboard version powered by two 400 hp Mercury engines reaching 40 knots.
- In 2022 was the year of the Gozzo 45 and its spacious exterior.
- In 2024, at the autumn boat shows, it was the turn of the Gozzo 38 Cabin, an evolution of the gozzo in a cabin version. This model originates from Gozzo 35 (initially this model was to be 35 feet). The swim platform, extended by 25 cm compared to the Gozzo 35, contributes to bringing the overall length of the boat to 11.45 m. The concept of this model, with the deckhouse extending the interior volumes, is linked to sailing not only in the Mediterranean but also in Northern Europe and on the great American lakes (the first unit cruises the seas of Northern Europe). The high sides allow the increase in internal volumes without compromising the lines of the boat through the reduction of the gunwale by approximately 20 cm and with the addition of a guardrail for greater safety. The layout includes two double cabins and a bathroom.
