Sky Ya, a new eco-friendly 47-metre superyacht concept

Share:

eco-friendly-superyachtRussian architect and yacht designer Max Zhivov came up with his latest superyacht concept, a 47-metre project focusing on energy saving and sustainability.
Called Sky Ya, she is a semi-displacement hybrid motor yacht, combining modern yacht design with the latest solar energy technology for an environmentally-conscious vessel.
Solar energy is an important part of the propulsion system of the vessel: a series of solar panels around the craft, ideally located as to soak up the most of the sun’s rays, provide energy while perfectly integrating into the vessel’s aesthetics.
Echoing the theme of sustainability and environmentally friendliness, a personal garden will also be on board, where owners and guests will be able to enjoy a natural space, to grow flowers or grass according to their tastes, even when hundreds of miles away from land.
The extensive use of glass with full-height windows floods the main saloon with natural light and provides owners and guests with stunning views on the surrounding seascape. A crew of 10 will be accommodated on board to take care of the passengers. Sky Ya will be able to reach a estimated top speed of 18 knots.
