Cantieri Barago has selected Opacmare’s S.A.F.E. 5270 system for its Spargi 10 and will introduce the new SAFE 5370 model for future orders. This customizable solution enhances access to boats from both land and sea, highlighting the shipyard’s commitment to innovative nautical design.
Opacmare stands out in nautical components, providing products like gangways, ladders, and more. The patented S.A.F.E. system features a height-adjustable stern, designed specifically for boats with outboard motors, enhancing comfort and accessibility.
The Spargi 10 exemplifies the principles of seaworthiness and speed, showcasing Cantieri Barago’s dedication to fully customized boats. Each vessel is tailored to meet client preferences in Sardinia, with expert craftsmen ensuring a blend of efficiency, personal style, and comfort.
Giuseppe Barago, co-owner of Cantieri Barago, discussed their collaboration with Opacmare. They learned about the S.A.F.E. system at the Genoa Boat Show in 2022, leading to productive discussions about installation tailored to the boat’s specifications.
“The S.A.F.E. 5270 offers convenience and easy access to the sea, particularly beneficial for outboard engine-equipped boats,” Giuseppe noted. “It also supports individuals with physical challenges while maintaining aesthetic appeal.”
Their technical team effectively collaborated with Opacmare, customizing the S.A.F.E. 5270 for the Spargi 10 to ensure seamless installation. Customer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the system’s practicality.
Looking ahead, Cantieri Barago plans to incorporate the new S.A.F.E. 5370 system following the Genoa 2024 Boat Show, further enhancing their offerings.
The S.A.F.E. 5370 boasts a modern design with adjustable height settings, simplifying access from both sea and shore. With a load capacity of 150 kg, it can be customized for various boat types, offering step configurations ranging from 2 to 5.
The S.A.F.E. 5370 is the new model of the transom UP & DOWN movement system (pantograph movement) with steps extension. This system can be adjusted to 3 levels: when lowered below the water level, the steps make it easier to ascend and descend to the sea and become practical supports; in the sailing position, the platform and steps become one with the deck increasing the boat walkable area; finally, the ability to raise the system up to dock height simplifies access to the boat from shore.
At the same time, this allows outboard engines to be raised and propellers to be positioned out of the water during mooring. The S.A.F.E. 5370 system has a load capacity of 150 kg, and – compared to the previous model – the weight of the product has significantly decreased to 52 kg.
This product can be implemented on any type of boat, either as a refit or as an initial installation, and can be customized according to the characteristics of each boat, starting with the number of steps, which varies from 2 to 5.
