La Passion, a 46-metre luxury superyacht, has won the Neptune Award at World Superyachts Awards 2017 on May 14 in Florence, Italy.
Built by Turkish yard Sarp yachts, she is the result of the collaboration of international designers and engineers. La Passion’s exterior design and naval architecture have been developed by Taka Yachts, while her interior was designed by Adam Lay Studio.
The largest motor yacht manufactured in Turkey to date, La Passion features a curvy carbon fibre-reinforced superstructure and a steel hull developed by Taka yachts. This combination maximises volume onboard and allows for improved stability, while lowering overall weight.
Osman Tanju Kalaycıoğlu from Taka Yachts, so comments the concept behind the yacht’s exterior design: “The intention for the design was to give character to the vessel in every possible setting she may sail to. For this her lines had to be nicely flowing, well-proportioned and fresh.”
The exterior layout is arranged across three decks, offering plenty of space for the sundeck, where guests can enjoy a perfect balance between shaded areas and sun-lit corners. A retractable canopy, part of the mast structure, can be opened up. A raised area on the foredeck houses a sun pad spread with a shaded forward facing lounge area.
The interior design, inspired by loft-style apartments, welcomes guests into a comfortable and relaxing environment. LED lighting, lacquered surfaces, and oversized windows on each deck allow for clear spaces, excellent views on the surrounding seascape and plenty of natural light.
Guests are accommodated across five cabins, including a master suite located on the main deck with large windows on either side, two twin cabins forward and two double cabins amidships, all of which have aft-facing beds and en-suite bathroom.
The beach club houses her main guest tender along with diving gear and compressor.
La Passion is powered by twin 1000 hp engines, providing a top speed of 15 knots and a range of 3,200 nautical miles.
